I am not sure how I feel about a silver Subaru badge.

I really like the front but the rear is not quite as pleasing.
Does this have the old EJ engine in it? I know the WRX has the FA20.

Yes the STI gets the old engine.

I'm the opposite as you. Rear looks nice, front... not so much.
Yes, this has the old EJ in it. Methinks they are dealing with supply issues on the FA20 at the moment, because there's no good reason they didn't put it in this. If you think about it, they still haven't put it in the Legacy or the Outback yet which are their two flagship vehicles... should be exciting times ahead for Subaru, despite what everyone says.

it would be better as a hatch I think, and the STi still runs the ej25.

I think it was a cost cutting measure. The EJ has been around forever and they seemed to have put most their money into the chassis department. I don't think it is a big loss though cause people have worked on EJs for years so obtaining more power shouldn't be too difficult. That being said, the FA20 is a better engine, even with its DI failure but I think that was Toyota's fault and not Subaru's.

I always liked the sedans, but that was when the had box fender flares.

Looks way better in silver than I thought it would!

That STi made me think: "Its uncle looks better"
